CTE Gives Back! March 2020

CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL

FACT 1:  Rare Cancer patients make up approximately half of all people fighting cancer.   Rare cancers include brain, pancreatic, ovarian, stomach, all types of pediatric cancers and many others.

FACT 2:  Rare Cancer research is drastically underfunded so those Rare Cancer patients have limited or no treatment options available.

ACTION STEPS THROUGH CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL: Because of Facts 1 and 2, CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL, owned and operated by Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, has been leading a movement since 2007 to beat rare cancers.

RESULTS OF CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL EFORTS:  This movement of high energy indoor team cycling has raised $42 million in 2019 and over $159 million in the last decade.  100% of every dollar raised is directed to Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center, the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center.  Monies raised have funded innovative clinical trials, research studies, and major research initiatives which have led to groundbreaking discoveries and advancing vital research to benefit patients around the world.  37,500 riders are projected to ride across 17 cities in 2020.

SO……Cable Tie Express is happy to support the efforts of CYCLE FOR SURVIVAL with its monthly contributions through the CTE GIVES BACK program!  We know that mile after mile of pedaling by family, friends, survivors, and thrivors of rare cancer patients DOES make a difference!
